This is the unofficial homepage of the
Aotearoa
Rainbow Family. With the family's consensus, this will be a repository
for
pictures, articles and random thoughts about previous gatherings, a
focalizing
space for future ones and networking tool for Aotearoa brothers and
sisters
making contact with each other and with overseas family. Hopefully in
time I will be able to
make this a wikiwikiweb or use a
content management tool like CMSimple
so we can all develop the site together.
As you can see from the links below this site has
four
main features so far. First there is the news page where I will put up
details
of any events and activities of interest to the Family, including
regional
get-togethers and national and international gatherings. Next is the
contacts
page which is a list of Family members who use email filed where
possible
by the region they live in so that travelling Family can contact local
family
when they arrive in an area. The Hystory page has information, images
and
impressions from past gatherings as well as a brief account of the
origin
of the Rainbow tradition. Finally, the Trade page is an opportunity for
members
of the family to buy, sell and exchange interesting items including
mobile
housing (buses, tipis), musical instruments, clothing and adornments
etc.
